Off-Roading!

Today we went to Hugo Brother’s ( Javier ) orphanage and I got to drive the Mini Van there! YIKES! To start off with I didn’t do a good job coming of an exit and almost got hit from behind, Note: watch exit ramps!!! So the ride after the exit ramp went smoothly. We then make our turn on to a dirt road and well It just got WORSE!! We started off with some smaller divots in the road and then they just kept getting deeper!! There were Water Holes, Yes they were not small ones but HUGH ones!!! I had to maneuver around other cars in a one lane road! I mean I had to make sure to stop in the right area or we where going to be stuck!! I thought many times were were going to lose a tire! So I get pass the cars the huge canyons in the road and I come long some COWS!!! So I start wondering if they move ( cause they stopped to eat ) I am going off into the mud on the left and we will be stuck or I am going to hit a COW!!!!  Next we get to a water hole so high Hugo’s (who is in front of me with a jeep, made for this terrine) jeep goes down, down and then up with a bunch of water!! The girls and I are all ready laughing so hard cause of all we went through then this huge water hole!! So, I stop the car and we are just laughing, I am like, I cant do that!!! I am imagining the van stuck in this water hole!!! Not only are we laughing about the situation there’s two guys behind this gate laughing at me!! What a day, I then see Hugo standing at the side of the road waving me on! SOOO here I go and he’s got a camera to capture it all!!! OK, we did not get stuck there. We move on, get inside the gate to the orphanage follow Hugo but I stop look at he road and I am like we can’t do that we’ll get stuck!! Javier comes out  and says we should back up and park elsewhere sooo I try to back up but YES we get stuck!!  After all that we got stuck in the grass so the girls get out and start to push!!!! We made it!!! On the way back Javier drives us back through all that, very thankful!! We get back home Hugo’s checking out the van and see’s some liquid leaking!!  We cracked the transmission box! Yeah not Good!!! Hugo thinks since it’s small enough he can wield it! Pray he can!!  Please enjoy the Pics from today!!!

This little boy was also abandoned and was very close to death. He was so small and skinny. Not well at all! He came to the orphanage and with God’s Healing Hands is a Healthily boy today! The girls doing one for there dances.

This boy stood out to me as soon as we got there, I could see him hanging on to Javeir. In much need of a father! He lived on the street and does not have any family!!! Reminds me of how we  need our God the Father!! We want his attention and love!

NICE!!!!!!!!

That is what I wish I culd be doing for fun.

Well Jenny, you are officially a Guatemalan adventurer.

Scot and Merrick have gone offroading with a older minivan with Hugo, they were looking for some pineapple fields, they went up and down a big hill with boulders and crossed a river.

Congratulations, you did good, who knew that you had to go be in Guatemala to learn offroading on a minivan.

Good job driving Jen. I would have been stuck for sure. Looks like you're doing great and I'm glad you finally got to spend some time with babies!!!! Looks like God is doing some awesome things at that orphanage. Those kids are so blessed to have gotten to spend the day with you.
